Savitar costumes for kids5/28/2023 ![]() ![]() The DC Rebirth incarnation of Barry Allen only remembers some elements of his life prior to the New 52, such as the original Wally West, but has made no mention of remembering his children. Furthermore, such a development could lead to interesting story-lines with Barry Allen further down the line. Given that most DC characters post-Rebirth have retained their former personalities, changing two typically heroic characters would show that DC is okay with not completely adhering to the old continuity. While it seems unlikely that DC would change the twins personality to a large extent, it would be an interesting alteration to the characters. However, the twins are set to reemerge in The Flash comic in a big way in the near future. While the twins did not make a major appearance in comic books afterwards, Don went on to become the father of Bart Allen, better known as Impulse, and Dawn became the mother of future Legion of Superheroes member XS. After Wally returned to his own time period with the help of the Allen siblings, Don and Dawn went on to become the Tornado Twins, further cementing their place as heroes in continuity. Though the twins were initially jealous of Wally, as they believed he had a proper father/son relationship with Barry while the twins never did, Wally inspired them to use their speed for good. After a brutal fight with the villain Savitar, Wally West was flung into the 30th century where he met Don and Dawn, prior to their deeds as the Tornado Twins. The Twins would not reappear in comic books until the 1990s, when they met the Wally West incarnation of the Flash for the first time. ![]() Related: The Flash Proves The REAL Reason Barry Allen is a Hero But that may be about to change, thanks to newly teased DC Comics. Not only did it prevent the twins from pursuing superhero careers, but were forced to do so without ever knowing their father. Born after Barry's heroic death in the famous Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, the still-pregnant Iris West-Allen had moved to the 30th century to live their lives away from superheroics. However, in the comics, Barry Allen has a different set of children - twins named Don and Dawn Allen.ĭon and Dawn, otherwise known as the Tornado Twins, first appeared in Adventure Comics #373, released in 1968, where they came into conflict with the Legion of Super-Heroes. Though initially suspicious of the twins (given the speed at which they would solve crimes), the Legion later learned that they were indeed the heroic descendants of Barry Allen. Barry Allen, better known as The Flash, is the proud father of twins with super-speed, but are they heroic or villainous? The Flash is no stranger to parenthood, and even The Flash television show introduced his daughter from the future, Nora West-Allen. ![]()
